Soon after
Luck of
the Mack (Angel) was foaled, her
mother died, sadly leaving us with a three
day old foal to raise.
Sharon gladly
accepted this labor of love, and awakened at
6 a.m. every morning, to toodle down to the
barn and begin the daily feeding of her
patient.
Mixing the powdered milk
for the baby, Sharon bottle fed her, later
taught her to drink the milk from a bucket,
to eat hay and grain, and in general, follow
Sharon all over the farm.
The
little foal, now a year old and fit as a fiddle,
still looks for Sharon to play with her. She has
not forgotten.
Angel will be kept as a pet
because she thinks she should live in the main
house.
